Shannon H. Furtick has been selected for the Leadership South Carolina Core Program Class of 2027, joining a distinguished group of leaders from business, government, nonprofit, health care, education and communities across the state.
Leadership South Carolina is the state's premier leadership development program, bringing together leaders to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping South Carolina's future through an eight-month program of immersive learning experiences and collaboration.
Furtick is executive director of Leadership Grand Strand and director of member engagement for the Greater Myrtle Beach Collaborative.
Her selection reflects Leadership Grand Strand's commitment to developing leaders who continue to serve and strengthen their communities at both the regional and state levels.
Also selected for the Leadership South Carolina Class of 2027 is Joe Heyd, founder of Heyd & Co., a member of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber Advisory Board and a Leadership Grand Strand alumnus.
